Meet the designer

Hey there! 

My name is Cecilia Davis, Founder of DWP Interiors. As the lead designer I will work with you to create and/or repurpose your space into a comfortable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing design that suits your needs.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture. It was there that I also studied interior design and architectural history. Both sparked a passion in me that unveiled my flair for transforming spaces. 

Outside of work I’m very active in my church and periodically travel to different regions on mission trips. Being able to see first hand how the living conditions and architecture of other cultures differ. This has over the years contributed to the enrichment of my designs.

Over the years I have worked across multiple sectors of the construction industry. Working as a housing auditor and for over a decade in engineering, with a focus on electrical systems and lighting design.

What does that have to do with interior design you say? Working in engineering gave me a new awareness and sensitivity to the functionality of spaces. Lighting design, in particular, gave me the perfect opportunity to impact the interior of spaces. From selecting fixtures that complement the aesthetics of a space to running lighting calculations to ensure adequate light levels, creating layers, and adding dimension.

I’ve always had a passion for interior design and for several years worked with family and friends to aid in bringing their visions to life. From there I decided to turn my passion into a more formal business. 

Being able to transform and/or create a space into something that brings my clients great pride and joy, as well as put an end to their frustrations with functionality motivates me to do what I do. Everything in life is better when it has purpose!
